Students complete 12 credit hours of relevant coursework:
SPAN 312 Spanish as a Heritage Language: Mi lengua, mi cultura, mi identidad
AND
SPAN 412 (491) Spanish as a Heritage Language II: Mi lengua, mis estudios, mi futuro profesional
(or another 300- 400 level Span course)
AND
Two other courses (see list below)
Additional coursework:
Students take 2 courses in addition to the two SPAN courses above. The 2 additional courses have a thematic focus on issues of relevance to Latinos, Hispanics, Latin America/US relations, immigration, the Spanish language, and the like to complete the course requirement component, with permission of faculty advisor.
